Explain history, please...Why do women paint their nails red? (Or at all)?
Of course you can't relate...you're a guy. The fallacy in your thinking is that everything that a woman does is for your benefit. Women thrive on feeling beautiful, precious and exotic. Decorating the body is an act of remembrance and celebration of femininity.Why do women paint their nails red? (Or at all)?
i just grew them out, and i have a habbit of keepin my nails.. suppper small. Therefore, with paint on my nails, i can distract myself with the sparcklyness, radder then cutting it... if that makes sence.

I'm not sure about the history, but I feel gross if I don't. I always have white tips on my nails and my toenails painted (whatever color I feel like).

You might not like red nailpolish, but I love it. I don't really care who likes it or not, I don't wear it to impress people, or to impress guys, I just like it. For me, I hate boring white nails. So I paint them whatever colour I feel like, and whatever colour matches my style. I don't care whether people love it, hate it, hot, not hot, ugly, sexy, whatever!

ya know some days i wonder that too, it's not natural looking at all. i keep mine plain but bright white clean.
cause its cute! egyptians used to paint their nails. (thats the only history i can think of)
