The gels don't chip off like regular nail polish. When they start coming off, they just peel off so it doesn't leave ugly pieces on your fingers.Whats the difference between just painting your nails and having gels on them?
Gel nails are applied to Nails with a Brush, and are hardened with a UV light, or a Spray on Activator..The stuff that creates the Gel is a Liquid like...Painting your nails end up chipping off, and don't last long..Plus it's least expensive, and comes in a bottle.
If you are referring to acrylic nails, then go with the gel top coat...They stay shiny until you go back for a fill...With just clear, it chips and starts getting dull.- $5 extra doesn't really break the piggy...LOL
