No. But if you feel blah, it helps bring your mood up, cause even if you look crappy one day, having you nails done makes you feel a little put together.
If the nails as they are are alreday beautiful and shining, no need to cover up with paint or polish.

NO, it does not make a lady look better, it does make a lady look more femine and it a lovely thing to paint your girlfriends nails.
I think if you don't paint your nails it's fine. Imagine having purple nails with a green shirt.I get my nails done in a french manicure clear coat white tips. Matches anything and classy looking.
The only thing anyone needs to do to their nails is keep them clean and neatly groomed. Nail polish is not necessary. However, polish does look really good when there are no chips or scratches in the finish. Besides, polishing your nails can be great fun!
